The annual Red Charity Gala is the most anticipated charity and fashion event in the country. At its 9th year, the gala brings to the runway designer Joey Samson, known for his androgynous yet glamorous aesthetic. Entitled PilgrimAge, the collection Samson will be premiering on Oct. 14 at Shangri-La at The Fort depicts a passage
through memory and rediscovery.

Inquirer RED’s October issue features garments from Samson’s collection worn by the designer’s muse Jo Ann Bitagcol and Filipino-Canadian model Paolo Roldan. PilgrimAge is a contemporary revival of history and traditional wardrobe favorites with ceremonial undertones. In an exclusive interview, the designer elaborates the
feelings and memories that inspired the collection. Samson  interprets the pilgrimage as his own personal journey and vice versa.

The issue also features the home and collection of an interior decorator and art consultant; a discussion on women empowerment with New York-based artist and feminist Nikki Luna; the profound philosophy painter-turned-chef-turned-potter Aleth Ocampo molds into her ceramics; and a roundup of books on home entertaining to color your table.
